Discounts

1. Discounts for gumstix products can only be obtained through a purchase that includes at least 120 motherboards.

1. Before having to make any purchase commitment, a customer may determine all product prices, stocking levels and shipping costs 24/7 at www.gumstix.com.
2. By adding one or more products to the shopping cart at www.gumstix.com , a customer can determine the total price of any configuration, whether that order would contain products that are all in stock or not and the cost of shipping that order to their office, home or other destination.
3. Products that show a shopping cart symbol when added to a shopping cart are on back order. A retail order that has only products shown to be in stock is planned to ship from the Gumstix warehouse in northern California on the same or next business day. A retail order that includes one or more items on back order is planned to be shipped from the Gumstix warehouse in northern California within fifteen (15) business days and the retail order is said to be "on back order".

Order fulfillment and back orders

1. Each retail order must be placed online at gumstix.com using VISA, MasterCard or American Express. Purchase orders or telephone orders are not accepted.
2. After a customer places their order at gumstix.com , their credit card is "authorized" by www.authorize.net for the total cost of that order.
3. Authorize.net provides a unique authorization code, which is valid for the next thirty (30) days*, to Gumstix, Inc.
4. Note that the customer's credit card is NOT charged at this time and that Gumstix, Inc. does not retain any customer credit card information.
   
5. A retail order that has only products shown to be in stock is planned to be shipped from northern California on the same or next business day.
   
6. A retail order that includes one or more items on back order at the time of order placement becomes a "back order". Each back order is planned to be shipped from northern California within fifteen (15) business days of order placement. Note that weekends and US holidays are not included in this 15 days.
   
7. Once the retail order is picked, packed & shipped by Gumstix, the customer credit card is charged and an email that includes tracking information is sent to the customer.

*If a retail order is not shipped within thirty (30) days, then that order cannot be processed as the authorization code will have expired. Customers with an expired order should contact sales@gumstix.com.

A single order at www.gumstix.com cannot be fulfilled by multiple, partial shipments. Customers wanting multiple shipments need to place multiple orders at www.gumstix.com.

Tip: To get multiple shipments, place a first order at www.gumstix.com that includes only products "in stock" as they are not marked with the . Then, place a second order at www.gumstix.com that includes the products marked with the , indicating that these products are currently on "back order".

1. If you do not already have an account at www.gumstix.com , establish an account here.
2. Then, to obtain a quote for volume order, send an email to sales@gumstix.com indicating
   (1) your desired gumstix product(s)
   (2) quantities of each product.
   (3) whether buildroot or gumstix openembedded should be preloaded on the motherboards in your order.
3. A quote will be emailed to you within two (2) business days.
4. Once Gumstix, Inc. receives your 35% order confirmation payment, this quote is turned into a "volume order".

1. Typically, a volume order takes 4-8 weeks to be completed from that date on which the order confirmation is received by Gumstix, Inc.
2. The 65% pre-shipment payment will be requested by Gumstix Sales just prior to the completion of the product manufacturing and testing.
3. Once this pre-shipment payment is received by Gumstix, Inc. and the manufacturing & testing has been completed, the volume order will be shipped to the customer.

For customers needing to pre-flash their boards with their own code, Gumstix offers a pre-flashing service to customers making a volume purchase(s) as follows:

1. Pre-flashing is available on OEM orders of 120 units or more.
2. Cost for pre-flashing $0.70 per motherboard - discounted as per the volume pricing above.

Payment Schedule

Gumstix, Inc. requires prepayment on all volume orders. Purchase orders are not accepted.

1. An “order confirmation payment” of 35% of the quoted total is required to confirm a volume quote into an order.
2. Full payment of the order amount (the remaining 65%) is required prior to shipment from Gumstix in California, USA.
3. Payments may be made by wire transfer, check, money order or credit card.

NOTE: For customers sending payments via wire, add a Reference Number to the wire transfer in the form of "WRP1234" where 1234 is replaced by your gumstix quote number eg "WRP6334".

Order Lead Time

1. Typically 4-8 weeks from the date on which Gumstix receives the order confirmation payment for a volume order, the order will be ready to ship.
2. This order lead time is subject to availability of parts and components from our suppliers.
3. Delivery times are dependent on the delivery service provided by UPS and any applicable issues in Customs for non-US destinations.
